Varel Singapore appoints GM ahead of April launch
The newly-appointed general manager will oversee pre-opening preparations, team building, service culture, and go-to-market strategy
Varel Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, has appointed Andy Tan as General Manager as the property prepares to open in April 2026.
As General Manager, Tan will oversee pre-opening preparations, team building, service culture, and go-to-market strategy, with a strong focus on people development and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Tan brings extensive experience in hotel management, having held senior regional and global leadership roles across Asia Pacific, Europe, and international markets.
His career includes leadership positions with Millennium Hotels & Resorts, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Most recently, he served in a senior leadership capacity at Millennium Hotels & Resorts.
