SINGAPORE, July 22, 2026Harilela Hotels has appointed Andreas Kraemer as the founding General Manager of The Hari Singapore, marking a leadership milestone ahead of the hotel's scheduled opening in spring 2027. The appointment comes as the company prepares to introduce the third property under The Hari brand, expanding its presence in Asia's luxury hospitality market with a new lifestyle hotel in Singapore.

Located near Orchard Road and the historic Emerald Hill precinct, The Hari Singapore will feature 326 guestrooms and become the latest addition to a portfolio that currently includes The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong. The upcoming property forms part of Harilela Hotels' broader brand expansion strategy as it extends The Hari's footprint into another major international gateway city.

The leadership appointment places Kraemer at the center of the hotel's pre-opening operations, where he will oversee the launch of the property and establish its market position ahead of opening. His responsibilities will include building the operational foundation for the hotel while aligning the property's positioning with The Hari brand's identity as a contemporary lifestyle hospitality offering.

Kraemer brings more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience across Europe and Asia. Throughout his international career, he has held senior management positions in Singapore, China, Thailand, India, and the Maldives, providing operational experience across multiple hospitality markets and luxury hotel environments.

Most recently, Kraemer served as General Manager of InterContinental Singapore for more than five years. During his tenure, he led a period focused on strategic luxury repositioning, commercial growth, and brand development, experience that aligns with Harilela Hotels' plans for The Hari Singapore as it enters one of Asia's most competitive hospitality destinations.

The appointment reflects Harilela Hotels' focus on securing experienced leadership during the pre-opening phase, a period that typically shapes operational readiness, commercial strategy, and brand positioning before a hotel enters the market.

Dr. Aron Harilela, founder of The Hari brand, said Kraemer's international hospitality background and leadership experience support the company's ambitions for the Singapore property.

"He has a remarkable track record," said Dr. Harilela. "His rich and diversified experience should propel our plans to bring a beacon of modern luxury and impeccable service to Singapore."

The Hari Singapore is scheduled to open in spring 2027, expanding the brand from two operating hotels into a three-property portfolio. The first hotel under the brand, The Hari London, opened in August 2016, followed by The Hari Hong Kong in December 2020.

The Singapore opening represents the next stage in the brand's international development while strengthening Harilela Hotels' presence in key gateway destinations across Asia and Europe. Singapore's position as a regional business and travel hub provides an additional location for the brand's growth strategy, complementing its existing operations in London and Hong Kong.

For Kraemer, the assignment centers on establishing a hotel that integrates with its surrounding neighborhood while delivering the brand's hospitality approach in a new market.

"Singapore doesn't need another hotel. It deserves hotels with character," Kraemer said.

He added that joining The Hari presented an opportunity to develop a property connected to Orchard Road and Emerald Hill rather than creating a standalone destination.

"What drew me to The Hari was the opportunity to create a place connected to Orchard Road and the heritage of Emerald Hill, a hotel that becomes part of the city, not simply part of its skyline. Together with our team, we'll create a destination guests return to for its people, atmosphere and genuine sense of belonging."

The property's location places it within Singapore's established commercial and hospitality district while also providing access to Emerald Hill, an area recognized for its heritage character. Harilela Hotels plans to incorporate the surrounding neighborhood into the guest experience as part of the hotel's positioning within the lifestyle hospitality segment.

The Hari Singapore will place art, design, culture, and contemporary dining at the center of its hospitality offering. The concept follows the brand's approach established at its existing hotels while adapting to Singapore's local identity and urban environment.

The development also expands Harilela Hotels' portfolio under its parent company, the Harilela Group. Established in 1959, the Harilela Group remains wholly owned by the Harilela family and oversees Harilela Hotels, which owns 15 properties across Hong Kong, China, other parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States.

The addition of The Hari Singapore will increase the visibility of The Hari brand while adding another operating asset to Harilela Hotels' international portfolio. As the third property carrying the brand, the Singapore hotel extends its geographic reach and reinforces the company's strategy of developing lifestyle hotels in major international destinations.

With approximately one year remaining before opening, Kraemer will lead preparations across operational planning, team development, and the establishment of the property's market presence. His appointment gives Harilela Hotels dedicated executive leadership during the pre-opening phase as the company advances toward the launch of The Hari Singapore in spring 2027.

The opening will mark the first time The Hari brand enters the Singapore market, adding a new lifestyle hotel to the city's hospitality landscape while supporting Harilela Hotels' continued expansion of its international hotel portfolio through experienced operational leadership and brand-focused development.
