Agoda reveals top spring destinations for Japanese tourists
This ranking is based on search activity conducted by travelers from Japan between 1 November 2025, and 12 January 2026, for check-ins in March–April 2026.
Data from Agoda highlights the top international and domestic destinations for Japanese travelers during Spring Break 2026.
For international trips, the top five destinations are Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; Bangkok, Thailand; Busan, South Korea; and Hong Kong.

For domestic travel, the most-searched destinations are Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Okinawa Main Island.
“Spring break is a key travel season, attracting a wide range of travelers—from students to working professionals,” said Tadashi Ikai, Senior Country Director, Japan at Agoda. “Our data shows that short-haul Asian destinations remain highly popular internationally, while major Japanese cities like Tokyo continue to be top domestic choices.”
