Marriott unveils 2026 expansion plans across Southeast Asia
In 2026, Marriott will open new properties in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia.
More Marriott hotels are coming to Southeast Asia in 2026 as the company continues to expand its Asian portfolio.
In Q1 2026, Marriott will open Varel Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, a new premium hotel in Singapore. The hotel will feature 128 guest rooms, as well as four dining outlets, a bar, and an outdoor pool. It is located near Orchard Road and Bugis Street, which offer a wide range of retail, dining, and entertainment options.
Q1 will also unveil Manado Marriott Resort & Spa in Indonesia, a resort property with 355 rooms ranging up to 245 sqm, as well as villas with up to two bedrooms and private pools.
The resort will feature dining outlets including a restaurant and a café, The Greatroom, and an open-air pool bar, as well as two resort pools, a 24/7 fitness center, a kids’ club with dual indoor play zones, and outdoor family spaces. Events are accommodated at the 1,174 sqm ballroom, four meeting rooms totaling 1,408 sqm, and a 60-seat chapel for weddings.
In the second quarter of 2026, Marriott will open a new resort property in one of Thailand’s most popular coastal destinations, Krabi. Fairfield by Marriott Krabi will offer 218 guest rooms, including family-friendly rooms with exclusive pool-access options. Other amenities include an outdoor pool and social spaces.
In the same quarter, Hoi An Marriott Resort & Spa will open in Vietnam, offering 281 spacious rooms and suites. The resort will feature six dining venues, including the brand’s signature Greatroom, a beachfront restaurant, and Casa Capiz bar with rooftop seating.
Guests will also have access to two resort pools, water sports, a spa, a fitness center, and an indoor-outdoor kids’ club. For events, four flexible spaces, including a 1,000-square-meter ballroom, are available for weddings, meetings, and celebrations.
Lastly, in Q2, another Fairfield by Marriott property will debut in Myanmar. Fairfield by Marriott Yangon will have 203 rooms and suites and will offer amenities such as a restaurant and bar, a 24/7 concierge and convenience store, a fitness center, and seven versatile function spaces, including the 230 sqm Fairfield Grand Ballroom.
