Samsung Elevates Luxury Stay at Bali Resort

News Indonesia Asia
Samsung Electronics highlighted its collaboration with The Apurva Kempinski Bali to deliver a seamless and personalized hospitality experience through Samsung Hospitality TV and LYNK Cloud technology, according to a press release issued by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

Located on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, Bali, The Apurva Kempinski Bali integrates digital hospitality technology into its five-star resort experience, combining Balinese-inspired architecture, ocean views, and connected in-room services designed to enhance guest comfort.

The collaboration centers on the deployment of Samsung Hospitality TV model HBU8000 and the LYNK Cloud platform across the resort’s 475 rooms, suites, and villas. Samsung stated that the technology supports personalized communication, entertainment access, and centralized content management throughout the property.

Each room is equipped with Samsung Hospitality TV featuring 4K picture quality and an AirSlim design intended to blend with the resort’s interior aesthetics. The televisions also include built-in Google Cast, allowing guests to stream content directly from Android and iOS devices without requiring external dongles or additional login procedures.

Eva Gepak, Executive Assistant Manager at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, said the resort aimed to ensure personalized service extended into the digital guest experience.

“We believe personalized service and elegant touches should also exist in the digital realm, so every interaction reflects the warmth and luxury our guests expect,” Gepak said in the release.

Samsung explained that guests can use the in-room televisions to access hotel services, receive personalized welcome messages, and obtain information about resort facilities and recommendations directly on-screen. The system is powered by Samsung’s LYNK Cloud platform, which enables hospitality operators to manage guest communications and digital content remotely.

The digital touchpoints were designed to remain integrated with the resort’s premium atmosphere while improving accessibility to information and services. Samsung said the platform helps guests navigate the property more efficiently without disrupting the overall hospitality experience.

Gepak said guests particularly appreciated the ability to stream personal content easily and order services directly through the in-room television system.

“Guests love the convenience of ordering services directly through the in-room TV, as well as how easy it is to stream their personal content, just like at home,” she said. “This technology enhances comfort and makes the stay feel more personal.”

Beyond guest rooms, Samsung display technology is also integrated across shared resort areas. Through LYNK Cloud, hotel staff can manage televisions and digital signage from a centralized platform, update messaging remotely, and maintain consistent communication throughout the property.

The centralized system supports coordinated guest experiences expected from luxury hospitality destinations by ensuring content remains updated and aligned with the resort’s overall ambiance.

Kelly Zakaria, IT Manager at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, said the collaboration demonstrated how connected display technology and cloud platforms could support digital transformation within luxury hospitality operations in Asia.

“This collaboration demonstrates how connected displays, cloud platforms, and thoughtful design can elevate exceptional properties into digitally powered resorts, while setting a new benchmark for the luxury hospitality industry in Asia,” Zakaria said in the statement.

Samsung also highlighted the operational role of LYNK Cloud in enabling efficient management of in-room messaging and guest communication. According to the company, the platform allows resort operators to maintain service consistency across guest rooms and communal spaces through remote content updates and coordinated display management.

Samsung also described the resort as an open-air theater inspired by the Majapahit era, combining traditional craftsmanship and cultural elements with modern hospitality infrastructure. Samsung said the integration of digital display solutions was intended to complement the resort’s focus on service quality and attention to detail.

Zakaria also commented on Samsung’s implementation and support process during the collaboration.

“Working with Samsung has been an outstanding experience,” Zakaria said. “From consultation and technical setup to post-installation support, every stage was handled with clear guidance and attention.”

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. stated in the release that the company continues to develop connected technology ecosystems across televisions, mobile devices, home appliances, and digital solutions through SmartThings integration and partnerships with industry stakeholders.
