TUI expands Asian portfolio with new openings in East Asia and Vietnam

Three new hotels are expected to open in 2026, with another slated for 2029.

TUI Group is expanding its portfolio in Asia with new hotels set to open in China, Japan, and Vietnam.

In China, TUI Group will debut the Robinson club resort in Meifan, at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta Green Demonstration Zone, a national project for sustainable development.

The new-build resort will span 160,000 square meters and will be part of an integrated sports and leisure district offering sailing and water sports. It is slated to open in January 2029.

"We are bringing our premium club concept to a region that stands for sustainable development and tourism. The demand for high-quality club holidays with a comprehensive range of sports is growing in China. The club will be geared towards an international audience," said Bernd Mäser, Co-CEO of TUI Hotels & Resorts.

TUI Blue, one of the group’s global hotel brands, will also add a new hotel on the southeast coast of China, TUI Blue Anji. The hotel, which will open in 2026, will be the seventh property under the brand in China.

Beyond China, TUI Blue will also debut in Japan, while TUI Suneo, the group’s budget hotel brand, will mark its first entry in Vietnam. Both hotels are scheduled to open in 2026.

“The hotels in China and other Asian countries are designed to appeal to Asian, European, and international guests alike. This approach ensures consistently high occupancy rates throughout the year and strengthens the profitability of TUI’s hotel business,” Sebastian Ebel, CEO of TUI Group, said.
