JHL Collection has announced the opening of Noema Resort Gili Trawangan, a beachfront hospitality destination scheduled to welcome guests in July 2026 on the eastern shore of Gili Trawangan, Lombok, Indonesia. According to the company’s press release issued on 6 May 2026, the resort will become the newest addition to the JHL Collection portfolio and will introduce a lifestyle-focused concept combining nature, wellness, sustainability, and modern island living.
Located along a stretch of white sand facing clear coastal waters, Noema Resort Gili Trawangan is positioned as a retreat catering to a range of travelers, including divers, wellness-focused visitors, creatives, and leisure guests seeking an alternative to traditional resort experiences. The property aims to create a more flexible and community-oriented environment through open-air facilities, beachfront activities, and curated glamping accommodations.
The launch also marks the expansion of the Noema brand following the establishment of Noema Resort Pererenan in Bali. Through this development, JHL Collection is extending its coastal lifestyle hospitality concept to Lombok and the Gili Islands.
Satria Wei, Executive Director of JHL Collection, stated in the report that the expansion represents a strategic step for the company’s hospitality portfolio. He explained that the concept behind Noema Gili Trawangan was developed to reflect the island’s natural and free-spirited atmosphere while maintaining the service standards associated with the JHL Collection brand.
According to the statement, the resort design emphasizes natural materials and spontaneous guest experiences instead of formal resort structures and rigid itineraries. The approach is intended to encourage visitors to connect more directly with the island’s environment, beaches, and surrounding activities.
The property will feature 50 glamping-style accommodations divided into several categories. Tropical Glamping units are designed for standard leisure stays, while Island Glamping accommodations will include private outdoor whirlpools. The resort will also offer two-bedroom Imagi Glamping units designed for families or group travelers.
JHL Collection stated that the resort facilities are intended to support both active recreation and wellness-focused experiences. Among the featured facilities is Mamaloma, a 24-hour beachfront dining venue that will bring the culinary concept previously introduced at Noema Pererenan to Lombok.
The resort will also introduce Forest Gym, an outdoor fitness facility positioned directly on the sand. The gym concept incorporates handcrafted wooden exercise equipment and is designed around a raw and nature-oriented fitness approach.
For adventure and marine tourism activities, Noema Resort Gili Trawangan will provide wall-climbing facilities, coastal water sports, and diving programs through Diving.de Gili – World Standard Diving Center. The diving center will include a specialized training pool intended to support diving instruction and certification activities.
In addition to sports and recreation, the resort will include Varuna Spa by Amerta, a wellness facility inspired by natural elements and mindful rituals. According to the press release, the spa is intended to support guest recovery and relaxation following outdoor and water-based activities.
Sustainability initiatives form a central part of the resort’s operational concept. JHL Collection stated that environmental management systems have already been integrated into the property ahead of its official opening.
One of the initiatives involves the use of recycled glass materials processed into silica sand for brickwork construction. The resort will also utilize a geo-textile water reservoir specifically designated for hydrant systems.
To reduce dependency on single-use plastics, Noema Resort Gili Trawangan has partnered with WaterHub to process local water into drinking water for guest refill stations located throughout the property. The system is designed to minimize bottled water consumption across resort operations.
The property will also implement an on-site Rapid Composter machine capable of converting organic waste into compost within 24 hours. According to the report, the compost generated through the system will support broader resource management practices at the resort.
The development reflects growing interest within Indonesia’s hospitality sector in integrating sustainability practices alongside experiential tourism concepts. Through its beachfront glamping model, outdoor wellness facilities, and environmental management systems, Noema Resort Gili Trawangan is positioned to contribute to Lombok’s expanding tourism and hospitality landscape.
JHL Collection currently manages hospitality properties across multiple Indonesian destinations, including Tangerang, Bogor, and Bali. The company stated that its portfolio spans luxury villas, resorts, hotels, and serviced apartments across several hospitality categories.
