The new general manager, Frederik Van den Borre, brings more than two decades of hospitality experience across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.

Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort has named Frederik Van den Borre as its new General Manager.

Located in southern Sri Lanka, the resort is a luxury beachfront property and part of Anantara’s portfolio of over 50 hotels and resorts across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean. Anantara is part of the global hospitality group Minor Hotels.

As General Manager, Van den Borre will oversee the resort’s strategy and daily operations, focusing on enhancing the guest experience, driving commercial performance, maintaining brand standards, and supporting team development across the property.

He later served as Acting General Manager, leading the property’s refurbishment, before taking on the role of General Manager at Avani Hai Phong Harbour View Hotel in Vietnam in mid-2022. In August 2024, he returned to Anantara Mui Ne Resort as General Manager.

He brings more than two decades of hospitality experience across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean.

“It is a privilege to join Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort at this important moment. The destination holds a distinct character, and I look forward to working closely with the team to build on the resort’s established culture and guest experience,” said Van den Borre.
