JIMBARAN, BALI, August 2026 — InterContinental Bali Resort has appointed Narendran Maniam, known as Hendra, as its new Director of Food & Beverage, bringing more than two decades of international hospitality experience to the resort’s food and beverage operations.
Hendra will oversee the resort’s restaurants, bars, lounges, in-room dining and banquet operations as part of his new leadership role. His responsibilities include leading the continued evolution of the resort’s culinary offerings and enhancing dining experiences inspired by the character and flavours of Jimbaran.
The appointment places food and beverage operations under an executive with experience spanning luxury hotels and resorts across Asia, the Caribbean and the Maldives. His professional background covers culinary operations, commercial strategy, guest experience and team leadership, alongside experience in innovation, technology, sustainability and talent development.
Before joining InterContinental Bali Resort, Hendra served as Director of Food & Beverage at Pan Pacific Hotel Group Malaysia. During his tenure, he revitalised the all-day dining experience through an interactive market-style concept and developed sustainable partnerships with local farmers and artisanal producers.
His previous leadership positions include roles with Sandals Grande Resort in Saint Lucia, Cezars Kitchen International in Japan, Imperial Resort & Lux Residence in Vietnam, Royalton Montego Bay in Jamaica, Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives and Hilton Petaling Jaya, as well as several hospitality brands across Malaysia.
Hendra’s career has included responsibility for food and beverage operations supporting the Tokyo Olympic Games and the launch of Michelin Guide-calibre dining concepts. His experience has also involved sustainability initiatives and operational development through innovation, technology and talent development.
