SINGAPORE, August 18, 2026Hyatt Centric Sapporo has opened reservations for stays beginning December 1, 2026, ahead of its fall 2026 debut, adding a 216-key property to Hyatt Centric’s presence in Japan. Located in the heart of Sapporo, the hotel is positioned within Urban Net Sapporo Link Tower, with accommodation, dining, social spaces and fitness facilities spanning multiple floors.

The opening forms part of the hotel’s entry into Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido in northern Japan. Hyatt Centric Sapporo will operate from the first floor and floors 17 through 26 of Urban Net Sapporo Link Tower, approximately a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station through an underground pedestrian passage. The property is also within walking distance of the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, known as the Red Brick Building, and Odori Park.

Hyatt Centric Sapporo's property location provides access to Sapporo while connecting the hotel with destinations across Hokkaido. The city is described by the brand as a gateway to the region’s ski resorts, hot springs, national parks and mountain landscapes, alongside its culinary and cultural offerings.

The hotel will comprise 216 spacious guestrooms, including nine suites. Each guestroom will provide at least 36 square meters of space, with floor-to-ceiling windows designed to bring natural light into the rooms. Two View Room categories will offer views of the Red Brick Building and surrounding mountain ranges.
Guestroom facilities will include digital key access, complimentary Wi-Fi, Smart TVs and Nespresso coffee machines. Bathrooms will feature both bathtubs and rain showers, providing a range of in-room facilities across the hotel’s accommodation inventory.

The nine suites include the Centric Suite on the 19th floor and the Sapporo Suite on the 26th floor. The Centric Suite will feature a private terrace, while the Sapporo Suite will offer panoramic views of the Historic Hokkaido Government Office Building. The property will also include a 43-square-meter Deluxe Room among its range of guestroom types.

Beyond accommodation, Hyatt Centric Sapporo will introduce a food and beverage portfolio across its first and 17th floors. The 17th-floor lobby level will provide panoramic views of Sapporo, with spaces designed around the city’s changing scenery throughout the day and across the seasons.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, Matsu Grill & Bar, will focus on Hokkaido’s seasonal ingredients, incorporating wood-fired grilling and French culinary techniques. The adjacent bar will feature interiors inspired by traditional horse tack, straw artwork and natural wood elements. A double-height lounge anchored by a fireplace will sit alongside the restaurant and bar.

On the first floor, Mr. Fish by Hyatt Centric Sapporo will serve fish and chips prepared with fresh seafood and Hokkaido-grown potatoes, alongside local craft beers. The venue is also designed as a neighborhood-oriented dining space for local residents seeking a casual meal or drink after work.

The property’s facilities extend to a 24-hour Fitness Center on the 19th floor. The facility will include cardio and strength-training equipment, core fitness balls and yoga mats. Its interior design will reference Hokkaido’s winter sports culture through suspended skis integrated into the ceiling.

Hyatt Centric Sapporo will also incorporate local engagement into its operating concept through its Local Insiders. The hotel’s team of knowledgeable Local Insiders will introduce visitors to seasonal experiences, neighborhood favorites and lesser-known places across Sapporo.

The hotel will further collaborate with local artists, makers and the community to highlight Sapporo’s culinary traditions, culture and art throughout the property. Its social spaces are designed to facilitate connections and conversations while linking the hotel experience with the destination.

The addition of Hyatt Centric Sapporo expands the brand’s accommodation offering in one of Hokkaido’s key urban destinations. The property combines 216 guestrooms and nine suites with restaurant, bar, lounge and fitness facilities within Urban Net Sapporo Link Tower, while its location provides access to JR Sapporo Station and major city landmarks.
