Hilton Bangkok Resort Announces Key Leadership Appointments

News Thailand
Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa has announced the appointments of Scott Thomson as General Manager and Shashank Singh as Director of Commercial, strengthening the leadership team at the newly opened property near Bangkok’s main international airport.

The announcement was made through a press release issued by Hilton on April 30, 2026, outlining the company’s plans to enhance operations and commercial performance at the 223-room urban resort in Thailand.

Located approximately 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa is positioned as a destination catering to business travellers, leisure guests, families, and international transit passengers seeking accessibility, recreation, and wellness facilities close to Bangkok.

Scott Thomson has been appointed to oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, including commercial performance and guest experience. The property is among Hilton’s newest openings in Thailand and forms part of the company’s expanding portfolio across business and leisure destinations in the country.

According to the announcement, the resort combines Hilton’s hospitality offerings with a resort-style environment featuring leisure and wellness amenities, including a golf course and spa, while maintaining connectivity to both the airport and central Bangkok.

“I am delighted to take on this new opportunity and to lead the talented team at Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa,” Thomson said in the release.

“With its unique location, resort facilities and strong flagship brand proposition, the hotel is well placed to serve a wide range of guests, from business travelers and transit guests to families and leisure visitors. I look forward to working with the team to deliver the warm, reliable and memorable hospitality Hilton is known for.”

Before joining the Bangkok property, Thomson served as General Manager of Hilton Auckland and Cluster General Manager for New Zealand North Island, a position he held since 2019. During his tenure, he focused on operational performance, service delivery, team engagement, and owner relations across Hilton’s portfolio in the region.

The company noted that Thomson’s appointment aligns with Hilton’s continued expansion strategy in Thailand, where the hospitality group is growing its presence across key urban and resort destinations.

Alongside Thomson’s appointment, Hilton also named Shashank Singh as Director of Commercial for the Bangkok resort. Singh will lead the hotel’s commercial strategy, overseeing sales, marketing, distribution, and revenue management.

The resort stated that Singh’s role will focus on positioning the property for growth within Southeast Asia’s hospitality market while strengthening the hotel’s presence among international travellers and corporate guests arriving through Bangkok.

“I am thrilled to join Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa at such an exciting chapter for this property,” Singh said.

“My focus will be on building a strong commercial engine that drives sustainable revenue growth, elevates the brand’s presence in key markets, and delivers exceptional value to both our guests and ownership.”

Singh brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience across several international hotel groups, including Oakwood, Marriott International, and Accor. Most recently, he served as Cluster Director of Commercial at Accor, overseeing a portfolio of properties in Phuket and Bangkok.

The press release highlighted Singh’s experience in developing commercial teams and implementing market strategies across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the Americas, India, and Australia. His background also includes expertise in pre-opening execution, revenue optimisation, digital marketing, and food and beverage strategy.

Hilton described Singh as a commercial leader positioned to support the growth and commercial direction of the Bangkok airport resort as it enters the market.

Both executives join the property as Hilton continues strengthening its hospitality footprint in Thailand and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The company currently operates a global portfolio of 27 brands with more than 9,100 properties and over 1.3 million rooms across 143 countries and territories.

The Bangkok resort also participates in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest loyalty programme. Members booking directly through Hilton channels receive benefits including flexible payment options using points and cash, exclusive discounts, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, and access to digital features through the Hilton Honors mobile application.

Guests using the app can complete digital check-in, select rooms, and use Digital Key technology to access accommodations through their smartphones.

Hilton stated that the property offers a combination of resort amenities and airport accessibility designed to meet the needs of multiple traveller segments. The hotel’s location near Suvarnabhumi Airport also positions it as an option for transit guests seeking extended layovers or short stays with access to wellness and recreational facilities.

The leadership appointments come as Bangkok continues to strengthen its role as a regional aviation and tourism hub, with hospitality operators expanding accommodation offerings around key transport gateways.

Founded more than a century ago, Hilton Hotels & Resorts operates more than 600 hotels globally. The company said its hospitality offerings focus on communal spaces, restaurants, bars, and guest experiences across major destinations worldwide.
