Fusion Hotel Group Expands Indonesia Portfolio With Ayola, Odua Integration

News Indonesia
August 18, 2026Fusion Hotel Group has expanded its Southeast Asian portfolio through the integration of Ayola and Odua, two midscale Indonesian hotel brands operated by Topotels Hotels & Resorts. The move brings seven hotels in key Indonesian cities into Fusion’s regional portfolio and adds further scale to its presence in Indonesia.

The integration involves Topotels’ collection of seven midscale hotels operating under the Ayola and Odua brands. The properties are located across Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and other regional hubs in Indonesia. Within Topotels Hotels & Resorts, the brands have developed a portfolio focused on midscale accommodation and have served both business and leisure travelers.

For Fusion Hotel Group, the addition expands its collection of midscale hotels while strengthening its operating presence in Indonesia. The country is identified in the announcement as one of Southeast Asia’s dynamic and fast-growing travel markets, making the integration part of the Group’s broader regional expansion across Southeast Asia.

The transaction also provides a framework for the two brands to remain in market without changing their existing identities. Ayola and Odua will continue operating under their current brand names while gaining access to Fusion’s regional expertise, commercial platforms, and operational support. The integration is designed to connect the hotels with Fusion’s wider network across Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.

For hotel owners and operators, the integration changes the commercial and operational resources available to the seven properties while retaining their established brand positioning. Fusion said the hotels will benefit from stronger distribution and service consistency, as well as access to the Group’s growing regional network of hotels and resorts.

The move also brings Topotels Hotels & Resorts into the Fusion family. Willy Suderes, Chief Operating Officer of Topotels Hotels & Resorts, said the integration would create new business opportunities for Topotels while providing stronger support for its owners. He also said the integration would bring fresh momentum to the hotels and teams.

The expansion adds an established Indonesian operating platform to Fusion Hotel Group’s existing regional footprint. Rather than introducing new brands into the market, the Group is incorporating two existing midscale brands and their seven-hotel portfolio into its broader Southeast Asian structure.

Indonesia is the central market affected by the integration, with the seven Ayola and Odua properties spread across several major urban and regional destinations. Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya are among the locations identified in the announcement, alongside other regional hubs. The portfolio therefore extends beyond a single destination and gives Fusion a broader operating presence within the Indonesian market.

The integration is also connected to Fusion’s commercial and distribution infrastructure. The company said Ayola and Odua will gain access to its commercial platforms and stronger distribution, while the hotels will also benefit from the Group’s operational support. These elements form part of the business framework accompanying the integration rather than a change to the brands themselves.

Christopher Hur, Chief Executive Officer of Fusion Hotel Group, said the Group welcomed Topotels into Fusion and highlighted the combination of Topotels’ roots in Indonesia with Fusion’s expertise. He said the integration would create opportunities in key destinations across the country while strengthening Fusion’s regional presence.

The move forms part of Fusion Hotel Group’s long-term strategy to expand its brand portfolio and strengthen its presence in key Southeast Asian destinations. The Group described partnerships and scalable growth as part of this strategy, with the Topotels integration adding seven operating hotels under two established midscale brands.

For Topotels Hotels & Resorts, the integration provides its Ayola and Odua properties with access to Fusion’s regional platforms and operational resources while keeping the brands intact. For Fusion, the addition broadens its Indonesian portfolio and adds an established hotel collection to its network in Southeast Asia.

The integration covers both brands across the seven-property Topotels portfolio and extends Fusion’s regional reach across Indonesia, alongside its presence in Vietnam and Thailand. The hotels will continue under the Ayola and Odua identities as the integration brings them into Fusion Hotel Group’s expanding portfolio.

The portfolio’s geographic spread is relevant to the integration because the properties are positioned across several Indonesian cities rather than concentrated in one location. Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya are specifically named, with additional hotels located in other regional hubs. This gives the combined portfolio coverage across multiple urban markets while maintaining the two existing brand structures.

The integration also links local Indonesian operations with Fusion’s regional infrastructure. Fusion said its expertise, commercial platforms, distribution capabilities, and operational support would become available to Ayola and Odua. At the same time, Topotels contributes its established Indonesian hotel portfolio and local roots to the wider Fusion family.

For the brands themselves, continuity remains a defined element of the arrangement. Ayola and Odua will continue to operate under their existing identities, while their seven hotels gain access to Fusion’s regional network. The announcement does not identify a rebranding of the properties or a change to the names under which the hotels currently operate.

The move is part of Fusion Hotel Group’s stated approach to regional growth through partnerships and scalable expansion. Its addition of the Topotels portfolio increases the Group’s collection of midscale hotels and strengthens its position in Indonesia while connecting the properties to its broader Southeast Asian network.
