Megaworld, Accor to open the largest Mövenpick hotel in the Philippines

The 1,530-room Grand Westside Hotel is expected to open by the end of 2026.

Megaworld Hotels & Resorts and Accor will convert the 1,530-room Grand Westside Hotel into Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside. The conversion will create the largest Mövenpick hotel in the world.

Under the partnership, Accor will be responsible for brand alignment, systems integration, and operational enhancements, which will be completed next year before the hotel opens by the end of 2026.

The partnership marks the second Megaworld-Accor collaboration following the successful conversion of Belmont Hotel Mactan into another Accor-branded property, Mercure Mactan Cebu.

The 19-story, two-tower hotel is located within Megaworld’s 31-hectare Westside City township in Parañaque City, approximately 30 minutes from Manila. The hotel will be connected to Westside City via a sky bridge and linked to the country's first Grand Opera House. It will also feature four specialty Food & Beverage (F&B) outlets and a pool deck offering panoramic views of Manila Bay.

“Our partnership with Megaworld for Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside underscores our confidence in the Philippines as a rapidly expanding market for high-quality, experience-driven hospitality,” said Andrew Langdon, Chief Development Officer for Asia at Accor.

“With increasing visitor arrivals and a growing domestic travel sector, this landmark project represents an opportunity to enhance our premium presence while contributing to the country’s long-term tourism growth,” Langdon added.
