Lao Airlines partners Sabre to advance operations strategy

The 10-year agreement introduces cloud-based systems to improve connectivity, streamline workflows, and support revenue growth of the flag carrier.

Global travel technology company Sabre Corporation has entered a 10-year agreement with Lao Airlines to support the national carrier’s future expansion.

The agreement extends Lao Airlines’ long-standing use of SabreSonic Passenger Service System (PSS) and includes an extension of their distribution partnership. The airline will also remain part of the SabreMosaic™ Travel Marketplace and will adopt Sabre’s cloud-based PSS suite, which supports airlines from initial bookings to post-flight services.

By combining SabreSonic and SabreMosaic, Lao Airlines will improve connectivity with interline and codeshare partners, increase revenue through better partner integration, and expand its destination reach.

The system will also streamline workflows, improve coordination between systems, and provide consistent content across channels to support agency sales and a smoother traveler experience.

Founded in 1989, Lao Airlines has served as a key link between Laos and neighboring countries including China, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
