BANGKOK — Centara Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in Vietnam with the launch of Centara Hotel & Residences Van Don, a new bayfront development scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. According to a report from Centara Hotels & Resorts, the property will become the company's second hotel in Vietnam, adding 481 rooms and suites to its regional portfolio.

Located within the Ao Tien High-Class Port and Tourism Urban Area, the new development overlooks the waters and limestone formations of Bai Tu Long Bay. The property is approximately 15 minutes from Van Don International Airport, providing convenient access to transportation infrastructure as well as nearby coastal attractions.

The opening represents the latest addition to Centara's presence in Vietnam, where the company is introducing its Thai-inspired hospitality, Signature Experiences, and service standards to a new destination. The development combines accommodation, dining, meeting facilities, wellness, and recreational amenities within a single property.

Centara Hotel & Residences Van Don will feature 481 rooms and suites across 12 accommodation categories. Every room will include a kitchenette, contemporary interiors, and functional layouts designed to support different lengths of stay.

The accommodation offering has been planned to serve a range of travel segments, including couples, families, groups, and guests staying for extended periods. The inclusion of kitchenettes across all room categories provides additional flexibility for longer stays.

Food and beverage facilities will form another key component of the development. Guests will have access to multiple dining concepts serving Vietnamese, Italian, Chinese, and international cuisine, providing a variety of culinary options within the property.

The hotel will also include facilities for meetings and events, expanding its offering beyond accommodation. Plans include two ballrooms together with multiple meeting rooms that can accommodate conferences, corporate meetings, business functions, and private events.

The addition of dedicated meeting venues positions the property to serve both business and leisure travel segments. Combined with its location near Van Don International Airport, the hotel provides access for domestic and international visitors travelling for meetings, events, or tourism.

Alongside its accommodation and event facilities, the development will offer a range of wellness and leisure amenities. These include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, SPA Cenvaree, and a Kids' Club.

The property will also feature family-friendly activities, premium shopping, and curated bay tours as part of its overall hospitality offering. These facilities complement the accommodation and dining components while expanding the range of on-site guest experiences.

Situated on the waterfront within the Ao Tien High-Class Port and Tourism Urban Area, the development offers uninterrupted views across Bai Tu Long Bay. The location combines coastal surroundings with convenient access to Van Don International Airport, allowing visitors to reach the property within approximately 15 minutes of arrival.

The project has been designed as an integrated hospitality destination, bringing together guestrooms, food and beverage outlets, meeting facilities, wellness services, recreational amenities, and retail offerings in one location.

With 481 rooms and suites across 12 categories, the hotel represents Centara's second property in Vietnam. The project expands the company's portfolio in the country while adding another destination to its regional network.
