Anantara Hotels & Resorts has completed the most significant enhancement of Anantara Hoi An Resort since the property opened in 2013, introducing new accommodation products, upgraded guest facilities, and a redesigned dining concept that collectively reinforce the resort's premium positioning in Vietnam's hospitality market. The transformation focuses on expanding high-value room inventory, elevating wellness and dining offerings, and strengthening the property's connection with the Thu Bon River, one of Hoi An's defining landmarks.
The enhancement programme includes the introduction of eight newly developed Thu Bon River Suites, the full renovation of ten Premium River Suites, and the conversion of the property's signature suite into the new Anantara Two-Bedroom River Suite. The additions expand the resort's premium accommodation portfolio while offering options designed for couples, families, and group travellers seeking larger and more immersive stays in central Hoi An.
In total, 19 suites have been refreshed as part of the redevelopment. The redesigned interiors combine French colonial architecture with Asian-inspired design elements, reflecting the cultural identity of Hoi An while introducing updated finishes across the accommodation portfolio. Split-level layouts, private terraces or balconies, and uninterrupted views of the Thu Bon River remain central features of the upgraded suites, strengthening the relationship between indoor spaces and the surrounding riverside environment.
Alongside the physical redesign, the resort has introduced an enhanced suite experience supported by additional personalised services. Guests staying in the upgraded suite categories receive dedicated room host service, in-suite check-in and check-out, one complimentary 60-minute spa treatment per person during each stay, and exclusive access to the private steam room at Anantara Spa.
The enhanced accommodation package also includes direct communication with the dedicated host team, luxury beach bags, premium teas, bath salts, and a welcome bottle of wine. Guests booking the Anantara Two-Bedroom River Suite and Garden Suite categories are additionally offered private wine fridge rental as part of the suite experience.
The investment extends beyond accommodation with the complete redesign of the resort's swimming pool area. Positioned on the banks of the Thu Bon River, the upgraded space has been reimagined as a tropical riverside sanctuary featuring landscaped gardens, elegant cabanas, oversized loungers, and uninterrupted river views.
The redesigned pool experience has been created to accommodate different stages of a guest's stay, from morning swimming sessions to afternoon relaxation and evening social gatherings overlooking the river. The redevelopment integrates leisure spaces with the property's natural surroundings while expanding the resort's premium recreational offering.
Food and beverage facilities have also undergone a substantial transformation through the redesign of Art Space Restaurant & Bar. The venue now centres on a tropical-inspired terrace concept overlooking the river, creating a refreshed dining destination within the resort.
The new concept introduces a menu featuring signature cocktails alongside tapas-style dishes while maintaining flexibility between daytime and evening operations. The venue includes a sit-up bar designed for social interaction throughout the day and a dedicated performance stage hosting regular live music events.
The restaurant continues to offer freshly prepared pizzas from its wood-fired oven together with a selection of creative dishes. Its gallery-inspired interior showcases original artwork produced by local and international Vietnam-based artists, allowing the venue to combine dining with artistic expression. Guests can choose between indoor air-conditioned seating or outdoor terrace dining overlooking the surrounding landscape.
While introducing new accommodation categories and refreshed guest facilities, the resort continues operating its existing Deluxe Balcony Rooms and Deluxe Garden Suites. The property also retains its wider hospitality offering, including additional dining venues, Anantara Spa, and four meeting spaces serving leisure and business events.
The redevelopment represents a property-wide enhancement strategy covering accommodation, wellness, recreation, dining, and public spaces rather than focusing on a single operational area. By expanding suite inventory while modernising existing facilities, the resort broadens its premium product offering across multiple guest touchpoints.

The latest investment also reinforces Anantara Hotels & Resorts' continued development of its luxury hospitality portfolio. Since launching in 2001, the brand has expanded to more than 50 hotels and resorts across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean.
