Aman Group has appointed Victor Clavell as Chief Operating Officer (COO), strengthening its executive leadership as the ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle company advances its global growth strategy. Based at Aman Group’s corporate headquarters in Switzerland, Clavell will report directly to Chairman and CEO Vlad Doronin.
The appointment places global operations under the leadership of a hospitality executive with more than 30 years of international experience. Clavell has held senior positions across prominent luxury hospitality companies, including The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, and Rosewood Hotel Group.
For Aman Group, the COO position covers operational responsibilities across its portfolio while supporting the company’s development agenda. Clavell will oversee global operations, with responsibilities spanning operational efficiency, financial performance and the continued delivery of guest experiences across the company’s properties, including its lifestyle brand Janu.
His remit also includes working with Doronin to advance Aman Group’s international expansion. The company’s growth activities encompass new hotels, resorts, branded residences and lifestyle ventures, placing the COO role within both the operational and development sides of the business.
Clavell joins Aman Group following his position as Chief Executive Officer of Urban Resort Concepts in Hong Kong. In that role, he led the international expansion of The PuLi Group, adding experience in managing growth across an international luxury hospitality platform.
Before Urban Resort Concepts, Clavell served as Senior Vice President & Managing Director at Rosewood Hotel Group. His responsibilities included overseeing the company’s operations and portfolio across Europe and the Middle East, where he was involved in growth and operational performance.
His career also includes leadership experience with The Ritz-Carlton and Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, adding exposure to multiple luxury hospitality businesses before his move to Aman Group.
The appointment comes as Aman Group enters what the company describes as its next phase of global expansion. Within this structure, Clavell’s responsibilities extend beyond day-to-day operational oversight to include the development of the company’s international portfolio.
Aman Group’s expansion platform includes several types of hospitality and lifestyle assets. New hotels and resorts form part of the company’s development pipeline, alongside branded residences and lifestyle ventures. Clavell will work closely with Doronin in progressing these international activities while maintaining oversight of the existing global operation.
Operational efficiency and financial performance are also central to the COO role. Clavell will oversee these areas across Aman Group’s portfolio while continuing to support the delivery of guest experiences. His responsibilities therefore connect portfolio operations with the company’s broader development activities.
The executive appointment also brings experience from multiple international markets into Aman Group’s senior leadership structure. At Rosewood Hotel Group, Clavell was responsible for operations and portfolio activities across Europe and the Middle East, while his most recent position in Hong Kong involved the international expansion of The PuLi Group.
Vlad Doronin welcomed Clavell to the executive team, describing his global expertise, operational discipline and understanding of luxury hospitality as relevant to Aman Group’s continued evolution and long-term growth.
For Clavell, the appointment marks a move into the COO position at Aman Group after more than three decades in luxury hospitality. He said Aman had established its position in luxury hospitality over more than three decades and that he was joining as the company continued to evolve.
The new executive structure gives Clavell responsibility for coordinating Aman Group’s global operations while contributing to its international development. His work will cover the company’s existing portfolio, including Janu, as well as the expansion of its hotels, resorts, branded residences and lifestyle ventures.

His previous roles provide experience across luxury hospitality operations, portfolio management and international growth.
