Avani Kota Kinabalu welcomes new GM
Winston Gong will lead the hotel’s end-to-end operations
Minor Hotels has appointed Winston Gong as General Manager of Avani Kota Kinabalu where he will lead end-to-end hotel operations.
Gong brings extensive international hotel leadership experience across Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Most recently he was General Manager of Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay.
He also held senior leadership roles with Holiday Inn Sydney St Marys and Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley and has delivered multiple pre-opening and renovation projects across the region.
Avani Kota Kinabalu is a 352-key hotel with 22 suites featuring facilities such as dining outlets, a rooftop infinity pool, a 24-hour gym, and four meeting rooms. It is located in Luyang, about 13 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
