The opening marks the first expansion in 44 years.
Royal Garden, a hotel brand owned by real estate developer Sun Hung Kai Properties, has opened The Royal Garden Kowloon East in Tseung Kwan O. The hotel was formerly the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East.
The opening marks the first expansion in 44 years, joining the The Royal Garden in Tsim Sha Tsui which opened in 1981.
The Royal Garden Kowloon East will open in phases along with other facilities including a 25-metre outdoor pool and 24-hour gym, with guest rooms and suites made available this month.
This coming March, the hotel will introduce Sky Garden Villas – a collection of seven exclusive villas designed for families, couples and nature enthusiasts. The hotel will also offer two themed family rooms.
A rooftop Italian restaurant, Ponentino, will also be opened in July. The lobby’s Fine Foods Lounge will serve refreshments and pastries. For events such as MICE and weddings, the hotel offers an outdoor garden and banquet venues.
It is located above the MTR Tseung Kwan O Station, adjacent to shopping complexes such as Park Central, PopWalk, and PopCorn.
“The hotel is a continuation of our dedication to service excellence by combining diverse facilities with a nature-inspired design ethos. Guests are offered a serene, modern urban resort experience thoughtfully designed to delight families, business travellers and holidaymakers alike,” Jenny Chan, general manager of The Royal Garden Hotel Group said.
