IHG expands Greater China portfolio with new H1 openings

These openings are part of IHG’s broader plan to meet changing travel preferences in Greater China.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to expand its hotel portfolio in Greater China with a series of openings scheduled for the first half of 2026, increasing its presence across different cities and types of travel.

The new properties will include TFT Chongqing Vignette Collection, InterContinental Huzhou South Taihu, Atwell Hefei Downtown, Holiday Inn Resort Ningbo Ninghai, Holiday Inn Jinan Daming Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Nanjing Confucius Temple. These openings cover both city and resort locations.

In addition, InterContinental Taipei and Holiday Inn Shanghai Tourism Zone are scheduled to open, located near major attractions such as Taipei Dome and Shanghai Disney Resort, serving short-stay and family travelers.

IHG will also open THE ONE Shanghai Downtown Vignette Collection and Kimpton Shanghai 9 Tree Art Center, which will cater to guests looking for city-based or nature-oriented stays.

Further additions to the portfolio include Palm Springs Hotel Chengdu Vignette Collection, Hotel Indigo Chongqing Chaotianmen, and voco Beijing Temple of Heaven, highlighting local culture and design elements in the hotels.
