Malaysia Airlines sets sights on Skytrax top 10 ranking
This ambition is part of the Malaysia Aviation Group’s newly launched Long-Term Business Plan 3.0.
The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) introduced its Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP3.0), a five-year roadmap to boost the group’s competitiveness in the aviation sector.
Under the roadmap, MAG aims to achieve its Destination 2030 goals, which include positioning Malaysia Airlines among Skytrax’s Top 10 Global Airlines (from #27 today), doubling the Group’s topline revenue to more than RM24 billion, and driving more than 60% growth in third-party revenue across its aviation services businesses.
These targets will be achieved through four strategic pillars including capacity expansion and fleet investments; expanding global reach through partnerships; improving operational efficiency through talent development; and growing third-party businesses, such as cargo capabilities and end-to-end in-flight catering capabilities.
"The progress we have made under LTBP2.0 reflects the capability and resilience of our people across the Group, and it gives us the confidence to move into our next chapter with greater ambition,” Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of MAG said.
“LTBP3.0 marks a shift from stabilisation to scaled and disciplined growth. It sharpens our premium position and deepens the value we create across our broader aviation ecosystem,” he added.
