Indonesia tourism records mixed trends in November 2025

Strong yearly growth from Asia outside ASEAN contrasts with monthly declines for Europe, Africa, and most other regions.

In November 2025, Indonesia visitors from Asia outside ASEAN recorded the highest year-over-year growth at 16.39%.

This is followed by arrivals from Africa at 15.83% and the Middle East at 14.99%. On the flip side, arrivals from Europe declined by 3.63%.

On a monthly basis, foreign arrivals declined across nearly all nationality groups. European visitors saw the highest drop at 29.43%, followed by arrivals from Africa at 18.50%. The Middle East was the only region to record an increase, rising 23.42%.

By nationality, foreign tourist arrivals during the month were dominated by visitors from Malaysia with 207,040 visits (17.27%), followed by Australia with 135,220 visits (11.28%), Singapore with 126,250 visits (10.53%), and China with 105,510 visits (8.80%).
