Japan remains the dream destination for travelers worldwide, according to SiteMinder’s Changing Traveller Report 2026.
Among the top 10 dream destinations, South Korea and China also made the list, ranking 4th and 7th respectively.
SiteMinder noted that while Japan’s position at the top remains unchanged, the rising popularity of K-culture is propelling South Korea into the top tier.
The United States, Australia, and European countries round out the top 10, with the USA in 2nd place, France at 3rd, Spain at 5th, Italy at 6th, Australia at 8th, the UK at 9th, and Germany at 10th place.
For the top dream cities, Asia also dominates, contributing five cities from the region. Tokyo ranks 1st, followed by Osaka in 2nd, while Kyoto comes in 5th. Seoul places 4th, and Singapore ranks 6th.
