On 18 November, Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa held the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, a Japanese-style resort and entertainment hub in one of Vietnam’s major tourist destinations.
The first phase, which opened in June 2022, achieved an average occupancy rate of more than 70% across its 342 rooms and welcomed 2.2 million guests.
The ¥3 billion (US$19.3 million) expansion will include a multi-functional 15-storey hotel tower, 14 villas, and additional guest rooms, all with a dedicated reception area. Once completed, the expansion will bring the resort’s total capacity to 447 rooms.
Japan remains the largest source of registered investment in Da Nang, with over US$1.14 billion across 261 projects. The city has also established cooperative relations with more than 22 Japanese prefectures and cities.
