Hoshino Resorts has partnered with Agoda to launch its entire brand portfolio into Agoda’s platform.
The partnership will bring six of Hoshino Resorts brands including HOSHINOYA, KAI, RISONARE, OMO, BEB, the newly launched LUCY, as well as other unique properties to Agoda customers.
In the first half of 2025, Japan was the top-searched destination on Agoda’s platform, posting a 35% growth in inbound searches for accommodations.
The interest to travel in Japan among international travellers also continued to rise with the top travellers hailing from South Korea (#1), Taiwan (#2) and Hong Kong (#3).
Locally, Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka remain as the top three destinations for international travellers in 2025 but secondary cities have also been gaining traction. These cities include Takamatsu (+63%), Matsuyama (+44%), Sendai (+32%), Okinawa (+27%), and Sapporo (+26%).
Notably, Agoda said that Okinawa is also ranked among the top five destinations overall for international travelers.
