Agoda reveals the top holiday destinations for Japanese families

For the year-end and New Year holiday period, the leading domestic destinations for Japanese families include Tokyo, Okinawa, Osaka, Nagoya, and Sapporo, according to online travel platform Agoda.
Agoda’s report revealed that Tokyo is a popular destination during the holidays thanks to attractions such as Tokyo Disney Resort, teamLab Planets, and the shopping complexes around Tokyo Skytree, while Okinawa is favored for outdoor activities because it remains warm even in winter.
In Osaka, families enjoy attractions such as Universal Studios Japan, Dotonbori, and Kaiyukan Aquarium, while in Nagoya, popular destinations include LEGOLAND Japan, Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park. Meanwhile, families seeking snow activities often head to Sapporo.
